DEPOSIT, CANCELLATION AND MISSED APPOINTMENTS POLICY AND PROCEDURE

At GoodLight Clinic, we are dedicated to ensuring a smooth and efficient appointment scheduling process for all our patients.

To streamline this process and secure your appointment, we have established the following deposit policy:

Deposit Amounts:

The deposit amount is determined based on the duration and type of appointment:

For a 30-minute appointment: £50 deposit.

For a 1-hour appointment: £100 deposit.

For a 1.5-hour appointment: £150 deposit.

For Root Canal Treatment (RCT) and crown restoration appointments: 50% of the treatment cost (estimated £300).

Deposit Collection:

The deposit must be paid at the time of booking the appointment to confirm and secure the slot.

Deposit Refund:

The deposit is fully refundable if the appointment is canceled or rescheduled in compliance with our Appointment Rescheduling Policy.

Cancellation, Refund and Appointment Rescheduling Policy:

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance to qualify for a full deposit refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

This policy ensures that appointments are available to other patients and resources are used efficiently.

Appointments can be rescheduled up to two times without losing your deposit, provided that appropriate notice is given each time.

If an appointment is rescheduled more than twice, the original deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure any further bookings.

Deposit Refund Process:

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Refunds will be processed promptly after a qualifying cancellation request is received and confirmed.

Exceptional Circumstances:

At GoodLight Clinic, we understand that emergencies may arise. If you are unable to attend and did not provide the required notice, please contact us to explain your situation.

We will review the case and may offer a deposit refund at our discretion.

Hygiene Appointment FTA Fee and Cancellation:

Patients who fail to attend or cancel on the day of their hygiene appointments will be charged a Failed to Attend (FTA) fee as follows:

£40 for Hygiene Maintenance Appointments (30 minutes)

£60 for Preventive Periodontal Appointments (45 minutes)

£80 for Periodontal Deep Clean Appointments (60 minutes)

This policy ensures that our hygienist’s time is respected and appointment slots are available to others in need of care.

Denplan Patients – Hygiene Appointment:

Due to an increase in last-minute cancellations and missed hygiene appointments: Missed or short-notice cancelled hygiene appointments will be deemed lost under your Denplan cover.

To reschedule a new hygiene appointment, a discounted fee (denplan discount deducted from the private treatment fee) will be required for the treatment.

Denplan patients who miss or cancel on the day of their hygiene appointment will not be rebooked under the plan without covering the discounted cost of the hygiene treatment.

This policy ensures fair access to hygiene appointments for all patients and prevents wastage of clinical time.
