From Vision to Reality — Interview with Dr Jacek Sitkiewicz, Founder of GoodLight Clinic
Why GoodLight?
What inspired the name, and what does it mean to you?
I believe that light holds a unique and powerful gift—the ability to heal. With the help of laser and infrared (IR) therapies, we can offer our patients so much more than traditional care: gentler procedures, faster healing, reduced pain, diminished inflammation, and a path to recovery with precision and minimal side effects.
Light has the power to spark real, lasting change in health and well-being.
The name GoodLight was born from this vision—a reminder that in every beam of healing light, there is hope, renewal, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
What made you open your own clinic?
I have always dreamed of creating a clinic where we could care for patients in a truly complete way—addressing not only their immediate dental needs but also their overall health and well-being.
Dentists today are often among the first healthcare professionals patients see in person. This offers a unique opportunity: to recognize early signs of broader health issues, offer meaningful advice, and guide patients toward the care they need, even beyond dentistry.Opening my own clinic was a way to bring this vision to life and start to look at patient care through a wider lens.
Was there a moment that made you take the leap?
The idea had been quietly growing within me for years, but earning my Master’s Degree in Laser Oral Applications was the turning point. It opened my eyes—and my mind—to the incredible potential of laser therapy across so many areas of medicine.
Seeing the real, tangible benefits of laser treatments in my daily practice, ignited a deeper passion within me.
I knew then that I wanted to do more. I wanted to create a place where it would be the standard—a place where light itself could become a tool for healing.
That moment gave me the clarity and courage to take the leap and bring GoodLight Clinic to life.
What makes GoodLight different?
At GoodLight Clinic, we take a unique approach to dentistry and overall health. We understand that the head is not an isolated part of the body, but an integral and vital piece of the whole system. That’s why we look at each patient’s concerns from a broader perspective.
We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we are committed to searching for the root causes of problems and guiding patients toward the most effective solutions for lasting health.
How is the experience here different from an average dental practice?
We aim to break the traditional perception of dental visits. Our top priorities are patient comfort and well-being. From the moment patients walk into GoodLight Clinic, they are welcomed into a calming, positive environment where they can relax, recharge, and feel at ease before returning to their daily lives.
We are here not just to treat, but to transform the way patients experience care.
What’s your vision for GoodLight Clinic?
My vision for GoodLight Clinic is to build a calm, welcoming place where a team of like-minded clinicians help people feel and look their best. By tapping into the healing power of light, we bring dentistry, aesthetics, dermatology and physiotherapy together under one roof, giving patients seamless, whole-body care. Our goal is simple: help every patient get healthy, stay well and keep thriving for years to come.
What do you want every patient to feel when they walk in—and out—of the clinic?
I want every patient to feel instantly welcomed, safe, and embraced by a sense of calm and positive energy the moment they step through our doors.
When they leave, I hope they feel not only cared for but truly uplifted—recharged with a renewed sense of well-being, optimism, and joy for life.
At GoodLight Clinic, we want every visit to be more than just a treatment; we want it to be a moment of healing, empowerment, and positivity that carries into the rest of their day—and beyond.
If you had to describe your team in three words, what would they be?
Dedicated, caring, and loyal.
(And if I could add a fourth, it would be friendly.)
What’s your proudest moment so far?
On a personal level, I am deeply proud of my family—my incredible wife and our two wonderful children, who inspire me every day to be the best version of myself. As a business owner, I am proud to have built GoodLight Clinic in Bath—a place where innovation meets compassion.
One of my greatest professional achievements has been achieving remarkable results in treating vertigo with laser photobiomodulation therapy (PBM), significantly improving patients' quality of life. I am also proud of greatly enhancing outcomes in complex treatments like root canal therapy—where lasers have truly become a game-changing tool.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that might surprise them?
I’m an audiophile—I have a deep passion for high-quality sound and music.
